Dr. Ziad Awadallah is a Quality Assurance and Compliance leader with more than 15 years of experience across the pharmaceutical and medical device industries in the Middle East. Based in Dubai, he specializes in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP), regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across regional and multinational environments.

Currently serving as Regional Country QA Manager at Baxter International Inc., Dr. Ziad leads quality operations and compliance initiatives across the Middle East and Africa regions. His expertise includes CAPA management, supplier and distributor qualification, internal and external auditing, change control, field safety corrective actions, ISO 13485 certification management, and regulatory compliance under EU MDR requirements.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ziad has successfully led several high-impact regional projects, including EU MDR implementation, serialization and 2D barcode initiatives, distributor qualification improvements across EMEA, acquisition integration programs, and global QMS simplification projects. He also achieved Six Sigma Green Belt certification with a process optimization project.

Prior to Baxter, Dr. Ziad held quality compliance roles within pharmaceutical manufacturing companies in Jordan, including Hikma pharmaceuticals, building strong expertise across manufacturing, compliance and quality control.

Dr. Ziad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Jordan University of Science and Technology and a Vocational Diploma in Regulatory Affairs and Market Authorization from University of Jordan. He is recognized for driving continuous improvement, building high-performing quality teams, and delivering compliant, business-focused quality solutions in highly regulated healthcare environments.
