DR. AHMED M. HUSSEIN BABIKER
Mr. Babiker has more than 25 years of experience in different fields of pharmacy practice including hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, drug information, patient safety, quality and risk management. He has presented many papers in international scientific conferences and published an original research article in reputable Journal.
Mr. Babiker is a pharmacist with initially a degree from Sudan, which he substantiated by doing additional internationally, recognized examinations. He has research experience through a Master program at Queens University Belfast in the United Kingdom. His research interests are in the areas of patient safety and pharmacy practice.
He has worked as drug information pharmacist at Hamad Medical Corporation, the principal health institute in Qatar, which contributed to his clinical knowledge and skills. Through his work for the Ministry of Public Health, especially the Community Pharmacies Steering Group for the National Health Strategy Project 1.6 Community Pharmacies Strategy and as vaccine registration supervisor, he also has experience with the development of policies.
In addition, Mr. Babiker is interested in sport activities; he was volunteering with Qatar Anti-doping Commission as a Doping Control Officer (DCO) since 2005. He participated in many and different sports activities in Qatar such as DCO, education & outreach program as well as DCO Venue Manager.
Moreover, Mr. Babiker participated actively in preparing an outreach and education team during IAAF in 2019, in which he had been awarded appreciation letter from the director of WADA. He has been awarded recently grateful recognition for the excellent service for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
DR. SARA AL DALLAL
Dr. Sara Al Dallal, the president of the Emirates Medical Association’s Emirates health Economics Society and a specialist in Dubai Health Authority. Dr Sara is a Medical Doctor graduated from the UAE University College of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her internal medicine residency in Dubai Health Authority and holds a Masters in Health Care Management from Royal Colleges of Surgeons Ireland and Masters in Health Economics and policy from London School of Economics. Dr. Sara is the President of Emirates Health Economics Society.

His current position is Import Manager for the Laboratory Equipment Department after spending about 6 years in medical Import department as an Import Manager.
DR. LATEEFA BAHLOOQ
She is a pharmacist and a purchasing specialist who proven ability to manage any works either independently or as a teamwork. Reliable and has a leadership skill. Strongly focused with the ability to complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines.
With a rich and varied career in the pharmaceutical field, Dr. Lateefa Bahlooq has demonstrated a commitment to advancing healthcare and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Currently serving as a Purchasing Specialist at Emirate Health Services in Dubai since January 2017, Dr. Bahlooq adeptly manages and adjusts orders to maintain efficient inventory levels. Her role involves a keen analysis of financial reports, negotiation with suppliers, and diligent tracking of delivery times.
Dr. Bahlooq commenced her career as a Pharmacist at University Hospitals Sharjah in June 2014, where she provided valuable information to patients about potential drug interactions, proper dosing, and medication storage. Collaborating with physicians, she played a key role in preventing therapy duplications and allergic reactions. In April 2020, Dr. Bahlooq transitioned to Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah, working in the outpatient pharmacy department. Here, she was responsible for preparing, dispensing, and counseling patients on the appropriate administration of medication and possible side effects.
Dr. Bahlooq’s earlier roles at Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Hospital in Ajman and Al Amanah Pharmacy in Ajman showcased her dedication to community pharmacy practices. This comprehensive journey underscores Dr. Lateefa Bahlooq’s commitment to excellence in pharmaceutical care and her significant contributions to the healthcare sector.

DR. FAISAL AL TLASI
He is currently KSA General Manager at Axantia, and was the chief commercial officer at Sudair Pharma since Jan 2023. He is pharmacist graduated from King Saud University college of pharmacy in 2001, in 2016 he held MBA degree from Saudi electronic university with cooperation with Colorado university in USA. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of pharmaceutical sales, marketing and regulatory.
He started his carrier from medical representative and took different position inside the pharma companies like supervisor, tender manager, country sales manager, governmental affairs director. He is participating in a lot of committees for build the company strategy as well as KSA healthcare strategy. From 2018 until 2021 he acts as deputy chairman of national committee for pharmaceutical – council of Saudi chambers. He is engaging and build key strategies with external and internal stakeholders to build promising relationships with authorities in the country to improve performance.
DR. MOHAMMED A. BARASAIN
Mohammed leads the technical scientific office and strategic alliance function at Janssen (Johnson & Johnson trading limited Saudi Arabia). In his current role, he oversees strategic partnerships and interactions with the governmental institutions and is considered a vital member of the leadership team. Mohammed is also known to be one of the experts in regulations related to the pharmaceutical ecosystem in Saudi and an active member within industry associations.
Mohammed gained a vast experience from his previous role at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority were he helped to establish the national drug and poison information center and led the development of the Saudi drug information platform (SDI). He also shaped various regulatory policies within SFDA.
Mohammed also represented SFDA as a member of the formulary governnance committee at the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance (CCHI) and a member of the drug advisory committee at the National Unified Procurement Company (NUPCO). Mohammed holds a Bachelor degree of pharmaceutical sciences from King Saud University.
He also completed post graduate training at Campbell University in the USA and a Certificate in public policy analysis from London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
MR. ANAS A. ALSUDAYS
With an extensive experience in navigating the highly dynamic Saudi healthcare systems, particularly in governmental hospitals and tenders, where successfully drive collaborations with entities such as NUPCO, GHC, MOH, MODA, and other key stakeholders.
MR. SATTAM TURKY ALGHODYYR
Sattam Turky Alghodyyr, who holds a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Industry, initiated his professional journey as a pharmacist in the Ministry of Health, serving in that capacity for three years. However, he soon transitioned to the Saudi Food & Drug Authority, where he gained invaluable experience as a regulator for a span of seven years.
In 2016, Sattam commenced his tenure at SPIMACO, where he engaged in various roles such as Pharmacovigilance, Bioequivalence, Regulatory, and Government Affairs.
In 2022, Sattam joined GSK as the Director of Communication Government Affairs. Additionally, he oversees the market access and pricing departments.
Sattam holds the distinction of being a Founding Member of the Pharmaceutical Industry Association (PIA), where he currently serves as the deputy chairman. Previously, he was a member and deputy chairman of the National Committee for Pharmaceutical Industries (NCPI).
Sattam exhibits great enthusiasm for enhancing the availability of medicines within healthcare systems.
DR. THAMER ALSUBI
Thamer is a policy and external affairs director at MSD with 20 years experience in health policy and regulation in Saudi Arabia. Prior to MSD, He previously served as standards and guidelines director in Saudi food and drug authority. During his journey, Thamer has represented the SFDA in many international forums as expert in drug and health regulation. Thamer is a pharmacist by background and graduated with a master’s from the Loughborough university, UK. He has also Ph.D in pharmaceutical chemistry 2022.
DR. YASSER HOSNY
Dr. Yasser Hosny, Senior Manager Market Access at Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries Manufacturers Julphar, has more than 28 years of an extensive experience in market access, tender management, and business development in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia regions. before joining Julphar in 2020, he was responsible for Market access, tender management, and health economics for the EMEA region at Johnson and Johnson diabetes care companies for more than 5 years.

Maya Chehayeb started her career 20 years ago in the pharmaceutical industry. Over the years, she gained a well-rounded experience while assuming different roles and responsibilities.
She currently holds the position of Commercial Excellence Lead at Biologix FZCO, playing a pivotal role in optimizing business operations in the Middle East & North Africa. This involves tenders’ management, demand planning, budget setting and financial reconciliation support, oversight of pricing strategies, customer engagement and field force effectiveness.
Maya collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance commercial processes while driving initiatives to streamline operations and maintain a strong market presence.
Maya started her career as Medical representative in the Sales department. She joined the Marketing team as a Senior Brand Manager and then was leading Marketing for a wide range of products across multiple therapeutic areas while playing a strategic role in ensuring their commercial success. In addition, she developed a solid experience in multichannel communications including events management, promotion, digital marketing strategy & media.

MR. KAREEM NEGM
He is a seasoned professional with 17 years of experience working in multinational companies across various functions (Sales, Access, and Operations). He graduated from Cairo University’s Pharmacy College and have since built a career around Value and Access (pricing, tendering, reimbursement, HEOR, PSPs and customer operations) by helping authorities find innovative, sustainable solutions to increase medication accessibility for patients.
He is known for his ability to navigate complex regulatory environments to bring life-changing treatments to those in need. In recognition of his outstanding contributions and dedication to improving healthcare access, he has received several prestigious awards throughout his career. DR. SHEREEN ABDALLA
Shereen Abdalla is an experienced professional in the innovative pharmaceutical industry with over 15 years of experience in sales, marketing, market access & government affairs in the Middle East region. Currently, she serves as the Director of Communications and Government Affairs at GSK for the Gulf Region.
Shereen holds a bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science from Al Israa Jordan University and Master’s degrees in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics from Barcelona University. DR. LINA M. AL-ADHAM
A passionate and experienced Pricing and Regulatory Affairs Professional with more than 15 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry of drug registration and pricing regulations covering MENA region scope. In addition to the regulatory and pricing experience, Lina have built across the years a diverse hands-on experience at multiple levels including; strategic pricing mechanism and market access, as well as pricing policies, compliance, merges and acquisitions audits, key account project management, regulated access and localization opportunities and challenges.
She is currently holding Corporate Regulated Pricing Manager position at Axantia Group. Contributing the development of pricing strategies formulation and integrating pricing insights to enlighten future pricing decisions that ensure effective and efficient function’s performance to best serves business needs across the region; while overseeing the regulated pricing operations considering compliance with internal and external policies and legislations, including pricing activities inclusive of new price generation and renewal, as well as leading the alignment process as a result of re-pricing and price erosions in MENA markets or reference countries.
Work closely with health authorities influencing regulated pricing environment through ensuring successful integration of the drug price; liaising through local agencies and local affelites.
Lina is thrilled to serve community and patients by this exciting drug pricing and registration journey, working closely with a team of ambitious experts to support pharmaceutical industry register and price drug products in the region, scheming optimal pricing strategies and contributing for effective medicines accessibility and positive impact on people’s lives.
She holds a B.Sc. of applied chemistry from Hashemite University, certified PMP professional and are currently pursuing a diploma in pharmaco-economics. She is also talented in painting and enjoys cooking.
DR. NERMEEN ASHOUSH
Dr. Nermeen Ashoush is a Health Economics Outcomes Research Associate Director, Middle East Africa Region, Amgen. Before joining Amgen, she has been working as an Associate Professor in Health Economics Health Policy, The British University in Egypt. Also, she was the founder head of Health Economics Unit, Center for Drug Research Development, The British University in Egypt. Moreover, she has been working as an adjunct professor at University of South Wales, UK for post-graduate Health Economics master program.
She has several publications in prominent Clinical Pharmacy Health Economics journals as well as coauthored: Market Access, Pharmaceutical Pricing Healthcare Costs in Clinical Pharmacy Education, Practice Research textbook. She has been invited as a speaker to several workshops in Health Economics Outcomes Research, MEA region as well as, speaker in several international conferences.

MR. JOHN MIKHAIL
Mr. John Mikhail, has more than 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry working in MSD across different commercial functions in Egypt and GCC (sales, marketing, Key Account manager, Tender manager) Also, across various therapy areas including Oncology, Hospital Acute Care, Diabetes, Vaccines and Primary Care.
John’s focus on Strategic Pricing across Gulf started in 2013 where he witnessed the evolving pricing dynamics in GCC starting from GCC price unification implementation throughout the evolving International Price Referencing ending with the new pricing guidelines in Kuwait recently in early 2021.
John’s strong analytical skills can address complex pricing challenges and identify Pricing opportunities.
John’s effective communication skills helped him in multiple negotiations with different stakeholders across the Gulf.
PROF. ABDALLA ABOTALEB
Abdalla Aboutaleb is one of the most profound experts in healthcare policy and regulations in the MENA region. His expertise extends from HTA & Reimbursement policies to regulatory and supply chain strategies in the public sector. He has been involved in the fields of health economics, outcomes research, health policy reforming and
Reimbursement police within the healthcare industry for 15 years, with experience across the pharmaceutical, biologicals and vaccines. And now works for WHO as a project manager at health care reforming area. He, in addition to being a committee member and project manager in a number of national projects in many countries
including Germany. United Kingdom, Egypt, Algeria, Sudan, Russia, UAE, Morocco, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, KSA, GULF, USA and Poland. He is a very active researcher with tens of publication across different well recognized organizing including ISPOR, ESMO, ASCO , ECCO, iHEA.
HTAI and EuHEA. He has been a true contributor to several public and industrial projects in Egypt and the MENA region of his homeland. He committedly changed the landscape of the healthcare policy there. A few examples to mention are his contributions to the establishment of the NORCB (national organization for control and research of biologics), Egyptian Biosimilars guidelines the
cancer and MS registry & guidelines. Establishing stroke units & guidelines, hospital based HTA and Health economic unit at the Ministry of Health in Egypt’s different sectors.
Multiple engagement efforts are well recognized in his research through introducing concepts of stakeholder engagement. He also does that by being an active member of many research organizations internationally and locally like the ISPOR and its local chapter. Abdalla Aboutaleb remains a very rich source of developmental initiatives having been hands on expert across different sectors of the healthcare systems and a visionary for healthcare reform.
FATIMA ALI KARJI AL MARZOOQI

DR. SUMAYA AL-JANABI
Sumaya is a pharmacist who is very passionate in helping the growth of the Healthcare Industry in her home country, Iraq.
Driven by her ambition in providing the most innovative products, she always creates the right roadmap to secure the access and availability of medications to Iraqi patients. With more than 13 years of experience, Sumaya has mastered an outstanding skill in managing MoH tenders and finding alternative solutions, amid the most challenging situations. She believes that Agility and Adaptability are the secret recipe for success, especially in this part of the world.
When she is not working, you will find Sumaya swaying to the tunes of Latin music, which is another passion in her life.
DR. SHEREEN ABDALLA
Shereen Abdalla is a seasoned professional in the innovative pharmaceutical industry with over 15 years of experience in sales, marketing, market access & government affairs in the Middle East region. Currently, she serves as the Director of Communications, Government Affairs, and Market Access at GSK for the Gulf Region.
Shereen holds a bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science from Al Israa Jordan University and Master’s degrees in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics from Barcelona University. Her areas of focus include access to innovative medicines and vaccines, health economics, value-based healthcare systems, and healthcare policies.
Throughout her career, Shereen has been dedicated to advancing healthcare in the Gulf region and ensuring that patients have access to the latest treatments and vaccines. With her extensive knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical industry, she has been instrumental in promoting healthcare initiatives and shaping healthcare policies in the region.
As the Director of Communications, Government Affairs, and Market Access at GSK, Shereen is committed to working with government authorities, healthcare organizations, and other stakeholders to improve access to innovative medicines and vaccines in the Gulf Region.
With her passion for improving healthcare outcomes and her strong commitment to her work, Shereen is poised to make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of people in the Gulf region.
DR. SARA AL DALLAL
Dr. Sara Al Dallal, the president of the Emirates Medical Association’s Emirates health Economics Society and a specialist in Dubai Health Authority. Dr Sara is a Medical Doctor graduated from the UAE University College of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her internal medicine residency in Dubai Health Authority and holds a Masters in Health Care Management from Royal Colleges of Surgeons Ireland and Masters in Health Economics and policy from London School of Economics.
DR. MUHAMMAD TALAAT ELSAYED BADR EL DEEN
He has worked in ministry of health and population as governmental inspector for health care institutions since 2017. Dr. Mohamed worked in Baheya institute for breast cancer as the procurement director . Also, he worked in many hospitals as El Hekma , El Salam international hospital as well as some outpatient pharmacies .
He’s from the board that governs the use of the scientific treatment protocol for COVID -19 MOHP.
Also participated in the tender with UPA for the governmental sector concerned with medical supplies, pharmaceutical products in health care industry.

DR. KAREEM NEGM
I am seasoned professional with 16 years of experience working in multinational companies across various functions. I am graduated from Cairo University’s Pharmacy College and have since built a career around market access and helping authorities find innovative, sustainable solutions to increase medication accessibility for patients.
I have furthered your education by earning a certificate degree in Healthcare Economics from Harvard University and are currently pursuing a master’s in public health.
Through your work and studies, I have demonstrated a deep commitment to improving the health outcomes of communities in my region. My passion for this work is evident in everything I do, and I am constantly seeking new ways to innovate and make a positive impact on people’s lives.
DR. FATIMA ZAID ABU ZANAT
Dr. Fatima Zaid Abu Zanat is an aspirational and experienced Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance (RA/ QA) professional with total of 17 years’ experience, with more than 12 RA/QA years in medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech industry across emerging markets with solid scientific background in product research/ development. She holds RAPS Dual Regulatory Affairs Diploma and Certificate (RAC Dual) in Medical Devices/Pharmaceuticals in addition to MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology. She is an active member in regulatory working groups within regulatory associations such as RAPS MENA local networking group as well as industry associations such as PhRMA MEA and formerly MECOMED. She is a licensed Basic Life Support Giver by American Heart Association and Licensed Specialist Pharmacist by UAE Ministry of Health and Jordan Food and Drug Administration.
She successfully established and managed multiple, UAE Scientific Offices for regional headquarters of emerging markets within Dubai, UAE; enabling organic/in-organic business growth. She built strong, direct channels with key, regional health authorities for continuous, shaping of the industry. She is experienced with development and management of teams on regional/global levels.

MS. MAYA CHEHAYEB
Ms. Maya Chehayeb works in pharmaceutical industry for more than 20 years where she gained a wide experience by assuming different roles and responsibilities.
She currently holds the position of Commercial Excellence Lead at Biologix FZCO, leading and overseeing company centralized operations in the Middle East & North Africa while heading 3 entities.
Those operations include but are not limited to demand planning, tender management, sales performance assessment, financial reconciliation support, FOC & expired goods management, pricing operations, sub-distributors governance, market mapping database & analytics, Sales & Marketing effectiveness & other projects.
She is responsible for setting & executing strategies and programs to increase efficiency in operations and to minimize risks’ implications.
Maya has joined the Company in 2003 and started her career as medical representative in the Sales department and then was promoted to Senior Brand Manager & Senior Group Brand Manager heading Marketing for a wide range of products. She has as well a solid experience in multichannel communications including events management, promotion & advertising and digital marketing implementation.
She succeeded in developing a set of processes & tools at different levels to optimize cross-functional integration in different operations. She is also a certified internal trainer, and she worked hard through her career to prepare many workshops supporting in skills and capability building.
She holds a Master in Biochemistry from the Lebanese University- Faculty of Sciences. She is also talented in painting and enjoys cooking.
DR. YASSER HOSNY
Dr. Yasser Hosny, Senior Manager Market Access at Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries Manufacturers Julphar, has more than 28 years of an extensive experience in market access, tender management, and business development in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia regions. before joining Julphar in 2020, he was responsible for Market access, tender management, and health economics for the EMEA region at Johnson and Johnson diabetes care companies for more than 5 years.
MR. PRAFUL MEHTA
He has nearly two decades of experience working across the healthcare ecosystem. Prior to Vamstar, Praful was a Senior Partner for IHS Markit and developed healthcare industry’s data and market access capability.
Throughout his career, he has developed solutions pertaining to market access, procurement, pricing and reimbursement, supply chain, and tendering of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics.
Mr. Praful has been a long-time advisor to senior teams across the ecosystem on issues of market access strategies, procurement excellence, launch planning, market competitiveness, and commercialisation strategies. He has significant project experience in working with the BRIC-MT, MENA, APAC, and EU-30 nations, as well as the United States and Japan.
Mr. Praful has been interviewed and quoted in many different journals, print media, blogs, and leadership forums during the two-decades long tenure.
MR. NICO BACHARIDIS
Nico has spent over 13 years in the pharmaceutical industry in local, regional and global roles. He has built and led the global team at Pfizer responsible for the management of the worldwide Tender & Contracting business and the continuous improvement of tender processes, tools, capabilities and policies. During this time he was also part of Pfizer’s global x-functional leadership team for Biosimilars. Nico is one of the few people who have personally built and lead a truly global and x-functionally aligned tender organization in big pharma.
MR. MOHAMED AMIN
M Amin has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry; Started his career in BMS, Then Joined Astrazeneca in 2008 as Sales Manager in Oncology CNS Business Unit, then appointed as Head of Market Access in 2014, and currently holding the role of Director of Governmental Affairs, Market Access for advocating AstraZeneca the government partnership agenda and impact in Egypt Healthcare ecosystem.
He has several publications in prominent Health economics Journals and has been an invited speaker in many workshops and panel discussions in Health economics and Health Policy.

MR. JOHN MIKHAIL
Mr. John Mikhail, has more than 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry working in MSD across different commercial functions in Egypt and GCC (sales, marketing, Key Account manager, Tender manager) Also, across various therapy areas including Oncology, Hospital Acute Care, Diabetes, Vaccines and Primary Care.
John’s focus on Strategic Pricing across Gulf started in 2013 where he witnessed the evolving pricing dynamics in GCC starting from GCC price unification implementation throughout the evolving International Price Referencing ending with the new pricing guidelines in Kuwait recently in early 2021.
John’s strong analytical skills can address complex pricing challenges and identify Pricing opportunities.
John’s effective communication skills helped him in multiple negotiations with different stakeholders across the Gulf.
